Dandelion Daze

Hola!

Its been a beautiful spring so far and summer is approaching quickly. With all the sunshine, the weeds are sprouting at an astounding rate. My favorite is the dandelions, their bright yellow color infecting all fields with happiness. I absolutely adore the way they make the world look during their height. So here are a few of the pictures from our adventures in the sun.

A Cup of Jo and A Smoke

Buenos Dias amigos!

All I can seem to think about lately is getting outside in the sunshine! Summer has almost arrived here in Montana and it is about time. Summertime means long bike rides, days in the park, and afternoons in the sun. And with bikes from Paul Frank, red-checkered blankets, aviators and Frisbee to look forward to, how could anyone not being ready for the sunshine of summer 2011? Here’s a little inspiration to get you ready for Memorial Day Weekend…

Food for Thought

This spring/summer is full of colors, expressions, mix and matches, a remix of all things past, which is what fashion always is, but this season do not fear to take some risks. Anything goes and a pure individualistic ensemble is better than any mannequin. Personally, I have been favoring all things gypsy, hippie, island, retro and rocker.
Being classically beautiful is always the best trend to use for guidelines if ever in doubt. The first half of the 20th century is a fantastic place to look for inspiration, the pearls, the gloves, the hair, and the put together in a most effortless way encourages me to remember that first impressions count
As a free spirit, a self-proclaimed flower child, it can be difficult to find the motivation to dress. All the stigma, prejudice and history that comes with dressing to impress, always looking nice, is drowned by the joy I find in being presentable and helping others feel good about how they look. No matter how hard we want to believe that appearances do not matter, they do.  Within the first seven seconds of encountering another, we form an opinion, a first impression, and how we are dressed contributes greatly to this. If this is not the only reason an individual might desire to look lovely, there is always the idea that the way you are dressed, the way you feel, will mirror the way your mood appears to others, and what kind of person you are and want to be. For me, dressing simply feels good.
