Breast Cancer Awareness & Asian Food

Sunday Evening Train of Thought

My Fortune Cookie Reading tonight at dinner:
Bingo Bingo right?

Maybe this is stereotypical..but eating Chinese food always makes me think of Asian things such as.....

Who doesn't love pandas? They are greatly endangered and WWF is one of the organizations desperately trying to help me. Check out this link

And therefore more Asian things like kimonos & very cute anime

I really love the way the people of the Chinese and Japanese cultures tend to dress with very bright colors, bold mixing prints, patterns and colors and unusual combinations of clothes (like shorts and sweaters)
Breast Cancer Awarness
I also choose pink to support Breast Cancer Awareness month this October. Those suffering and their families are full of strength and honor

Paul Strand

Paul Strand is a photographer, an artist, a master, one of the greats. He has captured some of the most haunting images of the 20th century. His work was hugely influential on artists and creators since his death in 1976. His retrospective work in 1945 at the MOMA  of his whole work and his presentation at the Philadelphia Museum of Art with over 500 prints and films, has helped shape photographer from a technical, mechanical process to art.
This image steals my soul and forces me to think of the dirty side of life, blue collar

Can you feel the echo of these keys?

This kind of work by Strand stirs something deep inside of my soul and inspires me to take this out into my world and turn it into my vision. To transform his work into a personal inspiration is my goal.

Translation into my everyday life:

Inspired by Strand
Elements of grunge and a haunted sense of being.
